U-SCI Defined

The human world is full of symbols. Some are short lived; while others have existed for several millennia. Symbols are the visual representation of a non-visual concept. They are used by people to identify themselves to others of a like mindset.

With the advent of scientific advances in many fields of study we are getting an avalanche of new insights into the makeup and mechanisms of our world and beyond. As a result there is an immense and growing sector of the population who, up until this time, has had no visual means to convey to others their feelings regarding their approach to understanding the world and universe around them. This methodology involves the application of logic and real science applied in a humane manner through the proper use of the scientific method.

The scientific method involves defining a hypothesis based on logical observations or concepts and then devising an experiment to test the hypothesis until there is a very high degree of reasonable confidence that the experiment will always yield the same result. In other words, all concepts have to be proven correct and if they are not they are discarded.

Due to the nature of this viewpoint most people within this group tend to be freethinking mavericks and are not interested or are opposed to being labeled. As a result, the percentage of the population who fall into this category has been vastly underestimated and unrecognized.
